EMW | WINE100 Challenge 2020 Awarding Wine List Revealed
The 2020 WINE100 Challenge has successfully been held at the Jing'An Shangri-La Shanghai on May 22nd. Chairman Andrew Caillard MW, Vice Chairman Sarah Heller MW, Chief Director Julien Boulard MV and Professor Huiqin Ma together led the judge panel with both national and international wine expertise teams, rating more than one thousand attending wines.
EMW participated with 32 wines and has achieved 4 Trophies, 5 Golds,10 Silvers & 11 Bronzes! The year 2020 is no doubt another prosperous year for EMW!

EMW | East Meets West Fine Wines Strengthens Partnership with Paul Jaboulet Aîné by Signing Hong Kong and Macau Markets Distribution Agreement
East Meets West Fine Wines (EMW) is delighted to strengthen its strategic partnership with the famous Northern Rhone Valley producer Paul Jaboulet Aîné (PJA), becoming the brand’s core distributor in Hong Kong and Macau markets.
After 20 months’ cooperation in Mainland China starting from September 2018, the importer-distributor EMW announces the extension of its strategic partnership with the prestigious Northern Rhone Valley wine producer PJA to include Hong Kong and Macau markets, commencing May 8th, 2020. This new partnership includes EMW’s distribution of PJA’s full range in the territory, among which PJA’s Classic Range, Winegrowers’ Range, and back vintages of the iconic Domaine de Thalabert are under EMW’s exclusive distribution.

In 1834, a full 100 years before the introduction of the A.O.C. system, Antoine Jaboulet began to transform a sleepy region into one of the most important quality winegrowing terroirs in the world. Since that time, Paul Jaboulet Aîné has become the benchmark in the Northern Rhône, with the iconic Hermitage ‘La Chapelle’ being responsible for some of the greatest wines ever produced. EMW Fine Wines (EMW) is delighted to announce a new partnership with Bodegas Roda and Corimbo in Mainland China.
The premium quality producer Bodegas Roda in Rioja Alta, Spain, has expanded its partnership with EMW to include exclusive distribution in Mainland China. In addition, their sister company, Corimbo, Ribera del Duero, Spain, has appointed EMW for exclusive representation in the same territory. Following their cooperation in Hong Kong and Macau, EMW and Bodegas Roda agreed to rationalize their business together in Mainland China.
About Roda
Founded in 1987 by Mario Rottlant and Carmen Daurella, Bodegas Roda represents today one of the most prestigious wineries in the Rioja appellation. Located in Haro, La Rioja, the winery was established with the firm intention of bringing something new in the world of winemaking.
Roda wines are the expression of the local grape varieties: Graciano, Garnacha and particularly Tempranillo – with more than 550 clones selected by the technical team of the winery. The grapes come from old bush vines, trained in 17 different landscapes, manually harvested and fermented into 17 different French oak vats. The result is an impressive and elegant range of Rioja DOCa that ever since the winery foundation have been regarded as new icons in the wine panorama.
About Corimbo
Bodegas RODA, after a trajectory of more than 20 years that have made it one of the most prestigious wineries in the Rioja appellation, started an investigation throughout Spain in search of the best lands for the cultivation of Tempranillo outside of Rioja. The outcome of this investigation was the beginning of the Corimbo project, in the Ribera del Duero area, in La Horra. While the terroir of this new estate is significantly different, the philosophy remains unchanged and excellence is pursued as painstakingly as at Roda. Old vineyards, sustainability, manual harvest, reflection of the terroir and of the vintage are the key words that led Corimbo to its great success among wine lovers throughout the world.
