EMW Fine Wines is delighted to announce the partnership with Lima Mayer as the exclusive distributor in Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau.

Lima Mayer is a family project driven by passion with great dedication to make the best quality wine. The wines are produced at Quinta de São Sebastião in Monforte, which was one of the most traditional and prestigious agricultural houses of the Alto Alentejo.

Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Syrah, Alicante Boushet and Aragonez, a magnificent selection of the best varieties from Iberia and France are planted in distinct blocks in accordance with variations in the slope.

The coarseness of the soils, the scarcity of water and the range of temperature between day and night all reduce the yield per hectare; but nature gives in compensation and increases the quality of the fruit, with intense aromas and tastes so fundamental to the production of good wine.

The 2018 WINE100 Challenge awarding ceremony has just held at the Shanghai Kerry Hotel. EMW has been awarded as "Best Importer" (SKU 200-1000) for 8 successive years since 2011, with 5 gold medals, 10 silver medals and 12 bronze medals, indicating another harvest season.

Year 2018 is the 15th Anniversary of EMW Fine Wines. During the 15 years, we have been devoting ourselves to importing and distributing premium wines to Greater China. We specialize in family owned wineries from the most prominent wine regions worldwide and cover almost all distribution channels, including restaurants, specialized wine shops, high-end retail chains and private customers all over the nation.Meanwhile, discovering Chinese wineries with great potential and exporting their premium wines to the rest of the world are also our consistent target from the beginning.

We believe it is indeed our persistence and constant effort to become the leader of fine wine distribution that contributes to the high comments and  numerous awards we received from all around the world.

The WINE100 Challenge is the first stage of a year-long event programme with Chinese wine consumers. The judging team comprises a representative cross-section of China’s most experienced wine professionals. Ms Fongyee Walker, Master of Wine, works as the judge chairman of the 2018 WINE100 Chanllenge, accompanied by top wine professional group of Mr. Darius Allyn (MS), Mr. Stephen Wong (MW), Mr. Roderick Smith (MW), Mr. Frankie Zhao (WSET Diploma) and Ms. Liyan Tang (Candidate of MW).

EMW 15th Anniversary Celebration Tour Recap

 

EMW 15th Anniversary Celebrations have been organized successfully in Beijing and Shanghai. Over 800 guests have joined us in the magnificent tastings, with over 250 premium wines from 15 boutique wineries on Nov. 14th & Nov.18th respectively. A splendid Gala Dinner was also held on 16th Nov in Shanghai as celebration party.

 
Great thanks to all of the winery representatives who came to our celebrations far away from all over the world and gave us the very best support for this memorial moment.
 

 

The true East Meets West experience - EMW Gala Dinner was held with 120 guests at Bvlgari Hotel Shanghai on Nov.16th, presenting 7 dedicated dishes from 2 outstanding Michelin Stars Chefs, pairing with 24 exclusive wines selected from our winery partners specially.

To share all the happiness with our followers and more wine lovers, EMW 15h Anniversary events, including 6 grand tastings, master classes & wine dinners, have been successfully held in Chengdu, Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Beijing & Shanghai since the beginning of the year. We have brought totally over 2000 guests a unique experience of worldwide Terroir from over 50 wineries.

15 years is a very important milestone for us. We started at 3 people and now we have developed into one of the leading wine importers in Greater China with around 200 people.

In 1834, a full 100 years before the introduction of the A.O.C. system, Antoine Jaboulet began to transform a sleepy region into one of the most important quality winegrowing terroirs in the world. Since that time, Paul Jaboulet Aîné has become the benchmark in the Northern Rhône, with the iconic Hermitage ‘La Chapelle’ being responsible for some of the greatest wines ever produced. Nowadays, the winery is led by the oenologist Caroline Frey.
