Shanghai, October 20th, 2021 – East Meets West Fine Wines (Shanghai) Limited (EMW) and Sea Change signed an exclusive Import and Distribution Agreement for Mainland China, strengthening its green vision and expanding the environment-friendly portfolio.
Founded in 2018, Sea Change has been passionate about two things: protecting our oceans from plastic pollution and great-tasting wine. Every bottle of Sea Change uses minimal packaging to reduce waste and environmental impact by removing the unnecessary plastic wrap around the closure, using renewable plant-based closures and labels made from post-consumer recycled paper and grape waste. In addition, with every bottle sold through EMW, Sea Change donates to Rendu Ocean, their marine charity partner in Mainland China, to fund education and awareness initiatives and provide support for ongoing marine conservation activities.
The Sea Change wines are expected to arrive in Mainland China market in Spring 2022.
Will Bray, Director, Sea Change
"We're delighted to have found a partner like EMW to represent Sea Change in Mainland China. We are certain that with their strong network and relationships built up over 18 years of supplying exceptional wines to the market, that we can further raise the profile of Sea Change and drive forward our mission of reducing single-use plastic and raising money for marine conservation organizations in the region."
Olivier Six, CEO, EMW Fine Wines
"We strongly believe in Sea Change's mission to raise awareness for ocean conservation. Not only by enjoying good wines, we feel there is a clear demand from consumers for more sustainable and environmentally friendly options, and we are delighted to be able to represent Sea Change in Mainland China."

Mount Rozier from South Africa Launches with East Meets West Fine Wines in Greater China
Shanghai, August 17th, 2021 – East Meets West Fine Wines (Shanghai) Limited (EMW) and Mount Rozier of Western Cape, South Africa, signed an exclusive Import and Distribution Agreement for Greater China, including Hong Kong and Macau.
Nestled in the Shapenburg Hills, overlooking Somerset West, Mount Rozier is a beautiful, buzzing landscape of indigenous flora and fauna. The vineyards benefit from 350-million-year-old decomposed granite soil, a cool coastal breeze and altitude of about 200m above sea level, resulting in the magnificent terroir in South Africa.
Purchased by the Gabb family in 2010, Mount Rozier focuses on producing cool climate, elegant wines with zero compromise on quality. Its history can be traced back to its namesake, Annie Rozier, a local flower merchant in the 19th century who gathered wild flowers on the slopes of what was once Myrtle Grove and sold them in the thriving city of Cape Town. Many of the wild flowers she picked were also used for producing medicine for the local community.
Inspired by this story, the Gabb family have kept the legacy of Annie Rozier alive creating a modern range of affordable wines rooted in nature and rich in narrative with each memorable, colorful label depicting a distinctive story from the farm. The result is a contemporary brand rooted in heritage that empowers consumers to make a positive choice and connects them to a sense of purpose.
The winery’s minimal interference winemaking allows nature to take its course. The estate is entirely committed to being socially and environmentally responsible with a tangible and deep respect for the environment, clearly apparent in their farming practices which are as close to nature as possible and following organic principles.
As well as being WEITA (Wine and Agricultural Ethical Trading Association), IPW (Integrated Production of Wine) and WWF (World Wildlife Fund) champion status, the wine is made in a 350-ton crush solar powered winery and parcels of fruit have been sourced from vineyards that are Fairtrade certified.

From Mount Rozier wines, we truly feel their passion for terroir, for nature and for life. Besides, it is indeed an affordable brand that people could drink at ease on daily basis. EMW is very excited to share these new South African wines to all our clients through multi-channels in Greater China.”
Rollo Gabb, Managing Director, Mount Rozier
“We are delighted to be working with EMW and very much look forward to offering our sustainably and ethically produced range of Mount Rozier wines to wine lovers in Greater China. East Meets West Fine Wines and Vignobles Bardet Sign an Exclusive Distribution Agreement for Greater China
Shanghai, August 12th, 2021 – East Meets West Fine Wines (Shanghai) Limited (EMW) and Vignobles Bardet of Saint-Émilion, Bordeaux, signed a new Import and Distribution Agreement for Mainland China, which is an important extension of the winery’s business map after a 6-year cooperation with EMW in Hong Kong and Macau.
A Family Adventure since 1704
Vignobles Bardet’s history began on the banks of the Dordogne River in 1704, which is unique in Bordeaux. Mr. Seigneriau, a river boatman, started his business with transporting barrels of wine to the port of Saint-Brice de Vignonet, where the Seigneriau family acquired some vines.
In the 1920’s, Mr. Seigneriau’s granddaughter, Mathilde Roy, married Henri-Gabriel Bardet, who founded Château du Val d’Or, a Saint-Émilion Grand Cru. In 2013 and after a one-hundred-year succession, Paul-Arthur Bardet and Thibault Bardet acquired Château du Paradis, a Saint-Émilion Grand Cru. In recognition of their family history, the Vignobles Bardet adopted the Gabarre, a Dordogne river boat, symbolizing the family’s intrepid adventure.
In May, 2021, Paul-Arthur Bardet was awarded “The World’s Best 50 Young Winemakers” by Food Drink Magazine.

Respect for the Terroirs of Saint-Émilion
Saint-Émilion has some renowned terroirs of the world. Thanks to its gravel soil, which is suitable for growing merlot and cabinet franc, Saint-Émilion wines have been sold all over the world for centuries. Vignobles Bardet, the family estate of over 300 years, owns 50 hectares of Saint-Émilion Grand Cru AOC today. “A subtle blend of technical innovations and environmental practices designed to reveal the treasure within our terroir.”
Environment and Innovation
Vignobles Bardet has been certified ‟Haute Valeur Environnementale” (High Environmental Value) Level 3 Certificate, which has strict restrictions on biodiversity, phytosanitary strategy, water management and fertilization, and is awarded to farmers/winegrowers who choose to take a reasoned approach to their work, from wine cultivation to bottling. Meanwhile, Paul-Arthur and Thibault Bardet’s father Philippe Bardet was the founding president of the 1st Association of the SME (Système de Management Environnemental du vin de Bordeaux, which means “Bordeaux Wine Environmental Management System”). This association is certified ISO 14001.
Philippe Bardet has also designed two revolutionary machines that helped him harvest top quality grapes: the Tribaie (grape sorter) sorts and cleans grapes, eliminating debris leave and unripe fruit; and the Calibaie (grape calibrator) selects top grapes, separating the smallest ones that have the most concentrated sugar content from the largest ones.
Philippe Bardet: “I undertake to reduce the impact of winegrowing on the environment. I’m always ready to implement innovative practices and rely above all on a sincere collaboration with nature to enable my terroir to express itself distinctively.” Natural yeast, biocontrol techniques and bioregulation techniques are all used in their fermentation process.
About Vignobles Bardet
The history of Vignobles Bardet began in 1704 on the banks of the Dordogne River in Saint-Brice de Vignonet, south of Saint-Émilion, Bordeaux. The Gabare river boat, in recognition of their family history, is the brand emblem. Vignobles Bardet has a very strict and high quality wine process from the grapes growing, sorting, maceration and the oak aging; they believe in agroecology to grow vines and produce wines in an environmental-friendly way. In May, 2021, Paul-Arthur Bardet was awarded “The World’s Best 50 Young Winemakers” by Food Drink Magazine.

Laurence et Rémi Dufaitre started their vineyard in 2001 in Saint-Étienne-des-Oullières, on the right bank of the Saône River. Since then, they went from 5 to 12 hectares.
